Die Europäische Union ist mit ihren 27 Mitgliedsstaaten einer der größten Staatenverbunde der Welt.In einem solch großen Verbund ist es mitunter problematisch, gemeinsame, allgemeine und einheitliche Richtlinien, Gesetze und Verfahrensweisen zu konzipieren und diese auszulegen. Ein Beispiel hierfür ist die europäische Arbeitnehmerfreizügigkeit. Fraglich ist hier unter anderem, wie der Arbeitnehmerbegriff unionsrechtlich auszulegen ist und inwieweit sich dieser durch den Fall der Lawrie-Blum gegen das Land Baden-Württemberg auf das deutsche Beamtenverhältnis im Allgemeinen und auf das Beamtenstatusgesetz im Speziellen auswirkt.Dieser Fragestellung wird in dieser Ausarbeitung nachgegangen.
