Jahrhunderts in enger Vernetzung mit anderen Gelehrten, insbesondere Philipp Melanchthon, prägend mitgestaltet hat.Im Fokus der Studien stehen Camerarius' Beziehungen zu ausgewählten humanistischen Akteuren sowie die Produktions- und Wirkungsbedingungen, die Denkräume und Diskurse, die sein Werk beeinflussten und die er als Wissensträger und -promotor aktiv mitformte.
