La aleación ternaria semiconductora de nitruro de indio y aluminio (InxAl1-xN) despiertacada vez mayor interés en la industria, debido a sus potenciales aplicaciones en dispositivosoptoelectrónicos y fotovoltaicos. Debido a esto, en la última década han aumentado lasinvestigaciones de este interesante material, especialmente para su empleo en futurasaplicaciones en celdas solares. En este libro presentamos las propiedades químicas, físicas, estructurales, morfológicas, ópticas y eléctricas de este semiconductor. El principal aportees usar diversas estrategias para obtenerlo a un costo menor respecto a los métodosepitaxiales usados en celdas solares multiunión con eficiencia récord mundial. Para esto seobtuvo el material tanto por magnetrón sputtering Radio Frequency como por sputteringDirect Current; mediante el uso de un único blanco de InAl y a temperatura ambiente.Asimismo, se sintetizaron películas amorfas, policristalinas y altamente cristalinas, lo cualpermite alto grado de versatilidad en la metodología propuesta.
