Teniendo como punto de partida la llegada de la primera imprenta al Nuevo Reino de Granada y extendiéndose hasta mediados del siglo xix del nuevo régimen republicano, esta obra reconstruye el entramado que da coherencia a un panorama editorial. A través de distintos periodos tipográficos, las experiencias y expectativas individuales y compartidas fueron ampliando el campo de la cultura política impresa y el mundo de las relaciones socioculturales y educativas, modelando la percepción de intereses y el desarrollo de ideologías.
