Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics for Senior High School presents and discusses significant aspects of Philippine society using information, views, and insights from three disciplines, namely, Anthropology, Political Science, and Sociology. It imparts ideas to students about human cultures, human agency, society, and politics. It seeks to teach them how to recognize cultural relativism and social inclusiveness to overcome prejudices and develop social and cultural competence to guide their interactions with groups, communities, networks, and institutions not only in the country but in the world. The book includes practical activities relevant to Filipino students at the Senior High School level and features student-centered exercises and tests designed not only to test their comprehension of concepts and theories but more importantly, to help them relate the lessons to their experiences as individuals and as citizens of the Philippines and participants in a global society.
