Ohne den ewigen Partisanen hĂ€tte es Jugoslawien nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wahrscheinlich nicht mehr gegeben. 35 Jahre lang blieb er der unverzichtbare Moderator eines mehr oder weniger gedeihlichen Zusammenlebens. Doch Titos Jugoslawien ĂŒberlebte seinen Schöpfer kaum eine Dekade, und es folgte ein Gewaltausbruch, wie ihn Europa seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg nicht mehr erlebt hatte. Über Titos Lebenswerk liegt somit der Schatten bitteren Scheiterns.
