Dafür muss der International Style seine Lesbarkeit mit Bedeutsamkeit aufladen, ohne die Lektüre allzu sehr zu erschweren. Umberto Eco nennt dieses Missverhältnis von leichter Form und schwerem Anspruch Midcult. Vielleicht ist dies die unserer Zeit gemäße Erzählliteratur mit eigenen Chancen?
