Rescue Me, Sweet Jesus is a compilation of prayers and writings written by Patti Davis during the last decade of her suffering with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS). These are heartfelt words penned during some of the most difficult nights of her suffering, as she called out to God for comfort, hope, strength, and peace.

Patti's physical pain and trials drew her closer to God each day and focused her on her eternal hope in Him, for which she was very grateful. This publication brings to fruition Patti's heartfelt desire that others might be comforted through the prayers, thoughts, and feelings shared through her experiences.

For those suffering, Patti's hope would be that you would know you are never alone--that God loves you, is near to you, has a plan for your life, even in this trial, and offers you hope for an eternal future with Him. If you do not know Christ, Patti's hope would be that you would come to know Him through this trial so that you can experience His forgiveness and love and spend eternity in heaven with Him.

For those caring for those who suffer, you may feel uncomfortable and helpless and might be tempted to pull away because you do not know how to help. Patti's words will remind you that you do not have to have all the answers--your companionship and listening ear are sure to be a real support.

Proceeds from the sale of this publication will be donated to Ehler's Danlos Syndrome research organizations and Frederick Health Hospice to further research and support for those suffering and to a scholarship account through the Community Foundation of Frederick County to help aspiring musicians.
