About this book
This work summarises my ongoing research on the Guro language spoken in Côte d'Ivoire, in West Africa (see especially N. Kuznetsova & O. Kuznetsova 2017). The core part of the data used for this study was collected by Olga Kuznetsova and myself during fieldwork in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, in 2005-2008 (elicitation), with several additions collected in the field by Olga Kuznetsova between 2010 and 2019 (spontaneous texts and elicitation), and by myself online in 2016 and 2021 (elicitation). A substantial part of the lexical data was published in the Guro-French dictionary (O. Kuznetsova & N. Kuznetsova 2021). Additional recent data comes from a glossed corpus of spoken Guro narratives (O. Kuznetsova 2022; fairy tales), cf. 12.4 for details on the indication of data sources.
