Os seus diversos parâmetros são apresentados, como o conjugado e as principais características nominais. Nos capítulos 2, 3 e 4, são apresentados os dispositivos utilizados em circuitos de comandos elétricos, como botoeiras, chaves seletoras/comutadoras, chaves de fim-de-curso, chaves seccionadoras, dispositivos de sinalização, contatores e dispositivos de proteção e de temporização. Nos capítulos 5 e 6, são apresentados diversos circuitos de comando para os motores monofásicos e trifásicos, respectivamente. No último capítulo, são destacadas algumas aplicações básicas de comandos elétricos em baixa tensão. O livro traz em cada capítulo algumas séries de exercícios de fixação e são sugeridas simulações com o uso do aplicativo CADe Simu, bastante difundido na área de Comandos Elétricos. Outra contribuição desta obra é um guia de aulas práticas, muito úteis para os professores que ministram a disciplina de Comandos Elétricos.
