Through their work with Schools for Niger, Africa, an organization the Bilottis and their business associates started, they found inroads to countless communities throughout Niger. Their work also led them to meet their future son, Rachid, a child they first sponsored and later adopted. Jason and Haley tell their touching story using alternating perspectives, while also bringing in their grown children to help tell it from their own points of view.
