The application of Biotechnology to solve the environmental problems in the environment and in the ecosystems is called Environmental Biotechnology. New techniques available with biotechnology holds potentials for developing products and processes in various sectors of agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, healthcare, energy generation and environmental protection.
