Many assertions in the book are common knowledge and easily corroborated. Unlike the Odyssey the book is not a work of fiction. But, like the Odyssey, it does include accounts of trials, adventure and hardship. The book would be of interest to any ESL/EFL professional (or student). Especially, if they happen to be black or brown skinned.
