Australian Beetles Volume 3

Polyphaga (Part 2)

About this book

The Australian Beetles series represents a comprehensive treatment of the beetles of Australia, a relatively under-studied fauna that includes many unusual and unique evolutionary lineages found nowhere else on Earth.

Volume 3 (Polyphaga, Part 2) contains 12 chapters, providing critical information and identification keys to the genera of the Australian beetle families included in superfamily Curculionoidea (Nemonychidae, Anthribidae, Belidae, Attelabidae, Caridae, Brentidae and Curculionidae) and one subfamily of Cerambycidae (Lamiinae).

Each chapter is richly illustrated with black and white photographs, high-resolution images and drawings. The book also includes colour habitus figures for about 900 Australian beetle genera belonging to the families treated in this volume. The chapters have been written by 11 contributors from Australia, Poland and the USA.
