Incorporated in 1886 as Bethel Township, Bethel Park has seen its landscape prosper and change from agricultural to industrial and finally into the largest populated suburb in Allegheny County?s South Hills neighborhoods. Advances in transportation and industry transformed Bethel Park into an inviting community of family homes, distinguished schools, and well-established local businesses. Bethel Park was also one of the key sites in the famed Whiskey Rebellion; the location of the first documented armored car robbery; the burial site of famed pop artist Andy Warhol; and the home of well-known writer, producer, and narrator Rick Sebak.
