Sie plädieren dafür, das namengebende Subjekt des Anthropozän – die Menschheit – durch diese multidimensionale Gerechtigkeitsperspektive zu differenzieren. Damit hinterfragen sie die Dominanz posthumanistischer Theorien und schlagen stattdessen eine auf den Menschen rezentrierte und damit nicht nur disziplinär verstandene anthropologische Perspektive vor. Anhand von fünf ethnografischen Fallstudien wird gezeigt, warum der Mensch als zentrale Analyse- und Handlungskategorie für Gerechtigkeitsfragen im Anthropozän unverzichtbar bleibt und welcher politische Mehrwert sich daraus ergibt, an einer menschlichen Handlungsfähigkeit und Verantwortung festzuhalten.
