Stevie has a lot of dreams: she dreams about having more friends at school, about owning better drawing pencils, and, most of all, about having a pony. If only she had her dream horse, Stevie is sure that her life would be better and that the other horse-crazy girls would talk to her. When her brother is taken to the hospital, though, Stevie's dreams seem farther away than ever.
