Ars praedicandi (english edition)
How to Effectively Communicate the Beauty of Christ and His Message
About this book
This book is intended to be a resource for priests who want to improve the effectiveness of their preaching, with the goal of converting those who listen to them; and also for all those who want to be ever better instruments in communicating the Word of God. It is certainly not a scientific treatise on sacred oratory, but neither is it the classic eminently practical guide. The authors wish to transmit, on a systematic basis, their experiences gained in effectively communicating the beauty of the Christian message, as well as the joy that comes from the awareness of being collaborators of the great communicator, the divine Logos.Alberto Gil and Sergio Tapia Velasco are professors at the School of Church Communication of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and co-founders of the international research center Rhetoric and Anthropology, which is based in Rome (www.rhetoricandanthropology.net). They are the academic directors of the seminar on Ars Praedicandi organized by the Center for Priestly Formation of the aforementioned University.
