Trotz der wechselseitigen Beziehungen zwischen Nahem Osten und Osteuropa sind die Verflechtungen insbesondere zwischen dem Osmanischen und RusslĂ€ndischen Reich, der Habsburgermonarchie, Polen-Litauen und Persien/Iran nicht systematisch in einer ĂŒbergreifenden, transosmanischen Perspektive untersucht worden.
