Jahrhunderts sowie die jüngere Geschichte "nichtärztlicher" Gesundheitsberufe, deren Bedeutung für die gesundheitliche Versorgung stetig zunimmt.

Der Beitrag zu den komplementären Heilweisen stellt den "Lehmpfarrer" Emanuel Felke (1856–1926) in den Mittelpunkt und leistet einen Beitrag zur Schließung von Forschungslücken zu diesem bedeutenden Vertreter der Naturheilkunde. Die Studie beleuchtet die Verknüpfung von Gesundheit und Kurbetrieb sowie die Zusammenhänge zwischen Wirtschaft und Markenentwicklung.
