Die Reihe (Re)visionen verfolgt das Ziel einer zeitgemäßen Kanonrevision der italienischen und romanischen Literatur- und Kulturgeschichte nach genderinklusiven, komparatistischen, intermedialen und transnationalen Kriterien. Sie rückt nicht nur bislang von der Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft vernachlässigte Autor*innen, Texte und Medien (Filme, Serien, Blogs) in den Fokus, sondern bietet auch Raum für innovative Lektüren bereits kanonisierter Werke. Unter Einbeziehung z.B. der Emotionsforschung oder der modernen Subjekttheorie denkt sie Literaturgeschichte jenseits des klassischen Themenspektrums neu. Zu den bislang wenig beachteten Motiven, die so in den Blick kommen, zählen u.a. europäische und postkoloniale Narrative der Essstörung oder des Menstruationszyklus, der seit Dantes Divina Commedia und Boccaccios Corbaccio als literarisches Motiv auftaucht, in der Literaturwissenschaft jedoch bislang keine Beachtung fand.

(Re)visionen ist an das Bonner Italienzentrum angegliedert und publiziert Sammelbände zu den jährlichen Fachtagungen des trinationalen Graduiertenkollegs Italianistica (Paris-Sorbonne, Florenz, Bonn) und der Deutsch-Italienischen Studien (Florenz, Bonn) sowie in diesem Kontext entstehende italianistische und komparatistische Doktorarbeiten, Habilitationen und Monographien der professoralen Mitglieder des trinationalen Netzwerks. Sie ist auch für Beiträge externer Wissenschaftler*innen offen.
