About this book
This interdisciplinary volume is dedicated to various areas of language acquisition and speech production that are directly relevant to diagnosis and treatment of auditory processing and speech disorders such as hearing problems, lisping, stuttering, consonant clusters and APD affecting language learning and social interactions. The contributors focus on key questions about the causes of diagnostic difficulties of impaired speech fluency, trace the mechanisms of voice emission, analyse the relationship between auditory perception and sound production and stress the importance of accurate diagnosis and therapy choices. They present the results of their survey-based research in general didactics, psychology, medicine and speech therapy.
