Everyone has a story—but not everyone tells it like this.
In A Happy Ending, retired pastor Russ Fish invites people on a poetic and poignant journey through the twists, trials, and triumphs of a life lived under the mysterious providence of God. With wit, humility, and unflinching honesty, Russ reflects on everything from the traumas of youth to the quiet joys of old age, revealing not just what happened, but what it all means.
Told in a voice reminiscent of Rick Bragg, this deeply personal story blends memoir, meditation, and ministry. From heartbreak to healing, from faith tested to faith found again, A Happy Ending is a soulful tapestry of memory and meaning—comforting, challenging, and gloriously human.
If you’ve ever wondered where God was during your hardest seasons, or how to tell your own story with grace and grit, Russ Fish’s A Happy Ending offers both encouragement and example.
