On the first day of the Wimbledon Championships, a beloved double Grand Slam winner is found dead on court 18. The world's cameras are trained on the All England Club, and behind the scenes, newly promoted Detective Inspector Angela Costello is on the case.
From exclusive Surrey tennis clubs to leafy Richmond and the packed streets of Wimbledon village, Costello tracks a web of secrets, rivalries and lies. Everyone connected to the victim has something to hide – the glamorous girlfriend, the estranged wife, the ambitious British number one hoping to make Wimbledon history.
With no way to prove her growing suspicions, Angela must rely on sharp observation and old-fashioned legwork. Then a prime suspect makes a tiny mistake on London's most famous tennis stage – and the whole case begins to crack…
A classic London-set whodunnit in the Christie tradition, 'Game, Set, Murder' is perfect for fans of Susie Dent, J.C. Eaton, and Peter Boland.
