Theological studies
About this book
Theological Studies is the scientific, academic study of the fundamental beliefs of religion. And since there are different religions, there are also different Theologies.
Thus, for example, there is Christian Theology, there is Islamic Theology, there is Hindu Theology, Buddhist Theology, etc. Even within Christian Theology there is Catholic Theology, and there is Protestant Theology. This book is on Catholic Theology as it is studied in Catholic universities and seminaries. A
distinctive feature of Catholic Theology is that it makes use of Philosophy to elucidate Theological issues. Catholic Theologians are generally also Philosophers and they make use of Philosophy to clarify their Theology, following the examples of St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas. The book is made up of three volumes, each volume is divided into two parts. Thus volume one part one is introduction to Theology, beginning with the concept of Divine Revelation, while part two is Theological Anthropology. Volume two, part one, is about Sin, Redemption and Grace, while part two is Pneumatology, the Theology of the Holy Spirit. Volume three, part one, is about Christology (Theology about the Person of Jesus Christ), while part two is Moral Theology.
