About this book
Twelve tales written between the two parts of Don Quixote - the gypsy girl, the glass graduate who believed he was made of glass, the two dogs who talk one night in a hospital yard. Cervantes said he was the first to write novellas in Spanish, and he was right. This edition binds forty-seven plates of painting with the tales, among them works by Velázquez, Murillo, Jordaens and Snyders, and uses the translation by Walter K. Kelly.
