There are few places as magical as a forest. Whether we think of fairy tales – like Hansel and Gretel – of poetry, or of walking through woods on snowy nights, forests are places of intrigue, mystery and quite possibly danger. In the real world and on a practical level, we need forests, and exploring why can be a key area of learning.
