It would not be an exaggeration to say that a simple label caries out more simultaneous functions than an air traffic controller in the midst of a snow storm: it informs about the brand and provides contact information, instructs on the correct use of the product and on its technical characteristics, offers useful information regarding its origin and conveys all the aesthetics and even “vital” values of the brand. Also, unlike air traffic controllers, it has to be graphically harmonious. Is it a possible task?
5,0 Original is a low cost brand for the German market. The simple label, for which only two colors have been used, is reflected on the beer box, a minimalistic design that strives to capture the client’s attention without any added detail.

In 2005, grafica received a commission to design a bottle of water and its corresponding tag for Camper, the shoe brand. An elegant, subtle, and modern effect was achieved by using a single color, the red in the logo.

Composed of three types of paper that are reminiscent of the way the traditional kimono fabrics superimpose over each other, the label created for the Kivino project was presented at the Design Escapade Show in Turin in 2008.

Fabricated for the Spanish Cava Regulatory Council, the tags designed by grafica make sense when placed one next to the other: each of the four tags has been decorated with one of the letters of the word “cava.”

When Steinlager Pure stopped being considered “the best beer in New Zealand,” it was time for the product and its design to be renewed. To achieve this, Trajan and Helvetica fonts, as well as transparent labels, were used to emphasize the product’s quality.

The label designed for Sero2 reflects the characteristics of the product by means of a harmonic image and the interaction of Bauhaus Standard and Santana fonts. The simplicity of the design attracts the attention of the consumer by contrasting with the competition’s more florid designs.

Using the fonts Trajan and Futura, and the colors PMS 877, Siver Foil and, PMS 363, Curious Design emphasized the New Zealand origin of Christie’s gin. The use of the transparent tag reinforces the purity of the liquor.
