In methodisch-didaktischer Hinsicht setzt "¡Qué barbaridad! II" den ersten Band des gleichnamigen Lehrwerks fort. Das Buch umfaßt 9 Unterrichtseinheiten, in denen die in Band I noch nicht behandelten Phänomene der spanischen Grundgrammatik (unregelmäßige Verben, Imperfekt, Plusquamperfekt, Potencial, Konjunktiv, Passiv etc.) eingeführt und geübt werden sowie ein Wortschatz von weiteren ca. 2500 Wörtern und Ausdrücken vermittelt wird.

Jede Unterrichtseinheit gliedert sich in 3 Teile:

Dialoge, die eine fortlaufende, überraschungsreiche Handlung entwickeln.
Texte zur Landeskunde, die sich mit den wichtigsten Epochen und Erscheinungen der spanischen Geschichte und Kultur beschäftigen. Diese historische Perspektive ermöglicht eine sinnvolle Heranführung an die aktuelle Wirklichkeit Spaniens, die in der vorliegenden Neuauflage des Lehrbuchs in einem zusätzlichen Text eingehender behandelt wird.
Übungen für Sprachlabor und/oder Frontalunterricht, in denen Vokabular und Grammatik in wechselnden Sprechsituationen und häufig inhaltlicher Weiterführung der Lektionstexte verfügbar gemacht oder frei angewandt werden.
