Part One
1. Christ, My choice.
It is crystal clear that everyone in the world has his own belief and philosophy about God, Christ, and the certainty of the Bible. Some do not believe in God, and so they worship idols or themselves [but very deep within every man (atheists or not) is the consciousness of the existence of a “god”]. All these thoughts come to their mind because either they themselves or those who founded those gods [idols] cannot comprehend the mystery around God. The truth is that no one can comprehend God. He is simply, the Mystery. Even Moses could not fully understand the mystery about God though he searched deeply through meditations. Moses came to a conclusion that we exploit the wisdom that God gives us and allow what is not given to us when he said, “What is not given to us is not for us . . .” (Deuteronomy 29:29, NIV). Moses started his first book with, “In the beginning God . . .” (Genesis 1:1, NIV), meaning beyond this period no one can explain what existed, for man cannot understand the things that were before time was created. Many have taken upon themselves to think about the things that are beyond human understanding; that is the things that were before time began and have gone astray. You, who want to know more about God, start first by knowing all the wisdom about man, God is God, and truly speaking there is no knowledge that can trace this, but every where around us is the proof or the wisdom that He is God and so we simply believe. When a man cannot understand something he frames an understanding in order to satisfy his mind.
We have pondered these mysteries and concluded that, no one can trace the true origin, Moses said, “God is the beginning of all things . . .” (Genesis 1:1, NIV). If God is the origin [beginning] then what is the origin of this origin? And so we tried reasoning that when men die, their spirits form an amalgam [kingdom] of spirits that in turns rule the physical world. Being dead they have attained perfection and so are at the origin of all other being. That is the theory of those who believe in “ancestors “as being gods. But if they became perfect after dead who then created them even before they ever died, this also remained a mystery.
Since our first reasoning had a fault we joined those who say that the dead are re-incarnated, this means nothing new is created (that is there is no God) but creation revolves. But if this was true then the world’s true population would be stable. Even if it was true, another question remains unanswered, who created those who started this rotation?
We joined those who believe in trees and animals as idols. But trees and animals have no soul, only a form of spirit, for it is written, “The spirit of man that goes up, and the spirit of animals that goes down . . .” (Ecclesiastes 3:21, KJV). So man and animals [or trees] have different spirits. Moreover trees and animals have no soul, and so cannot exist in the spirit world. No one can exist in both the physical world and spiritual world without a soul. Thus man is the only one that has an existence after dead. So we decided to think further.
When we decided to think further we found a book to help us. Truly speaking this book helped us a lot. Many have also come across the help of this book; they called it: “Word of God”. Word of God or not, what we know is that the book answers all our questions.
The wise and the foolish all die. Those who seek knowledge and those who seek wealth all die. The wise man says, “I want to make the world a better place . . .”, the foolish man says, “We all came here on earth to die one day, so let us eat and drink for tomorrow we may die”. But the truth is that whether we die with an empty stomach or with a full stomach it does not influence the decree against us, it is our sin that condemns us. The poor says, “Money makes the world go round”, but when we get rich we discover that money has its limitations.
If there is only one God then life is sacred, therefore every man is accountable to the Accountant of this life. If it is true that there is a judgment after death then we have to do something about it since every one must die one day, and there is no age for death. Wisdom says that there is a judgment for all that we do [good or evil] in this life: We have seen it in this life, and we consequently believe that if judgment started in this world it will continue against us where ever we go after death. Therefore we need someone to help us make up for the life after death since it has become so evidently clear that we shall surely be judged for all our sins. So we observed the philosophies of the men of this world to try to seek a solution to our fear of condemnation. We observe that there are many religions, and many saviors. We said to our self, “Religion is good but a true savior is better”. We do not care about the religion or about whom they say is the true savior? Nor about what is his name?, for who has returned from the dead with a message about who truly is the messiah? All that we seek is to make a conscious and responsible choice so that we can bear its implications in the world beyond without any regret, yes what if we choose a wrong messiah and give him all our life to only discover in the world beyond that another is the true messiah?
Truly speaking by observing the wisdom in this world, we conclude with evidence that there is a judgment after death, which even start here on earth but there is no evidence on who truly is the savior. Death is a one way ticket, no one has returned from the world after death with evidence of who is the messiah. If we do not want to spend all our energy in this world in vain, trusting in a deceiver, we should consider carefully our choice. Therefore we have decided to consider all the wisdom that makes up a right choice: By wisdom no one can save others from sin except he himself is free from sin, and by personal observation there is no man that does not sin, not even during days of old (Ecclesiastes 7:20, KJV). Therefore the messiah cannot be a man. The Bible is right when it says, “God became man in Jesus . . .” we believe these words because he who judges man after death cannot be a sinner, and so he cannot be a man. All men are sinners, not because they do not want to be holy but because they are unable; therefore it seemed to us that the power [spirit] of sin is in man. But if God judges man then He did not make man in sin (Ecclesiastes 7:29, KJV) but in His image and likeness, to be holy and to function like Him. If man was created “holy”, then he can be made “holy” again. Wisdom says that as there is no effect without a cause, there is no effect without a remedy. If God permitted man to sin then He has also made a way out. If the messiah must be holy, then God Himself should be the Messiah. By wisdom God is not a sinner for if He was one then He would not judge man for sinning.
Moreover if the messiah saves men from death (judgment) then he must first be able to save himself from death: He should not die, or if he does he should be able to resurrect again. No one that cannot overcome death can save others from the power of death . . .
When we looked into all these criteria, and many others we saw Christ. Yes, we have chosen Christ. If you have another choice that satisfies all these criteria, let us consider it in wisdom: If your messiah is a man he is not fit because he should first save himself since all men, with no exception (including him) will be under judgment due to sin. Do not deceive yourself by saying that your messiah is not a man simply because many people say so, for who is a man? A man is anyone born of a man and a woman. Christ was not born of a woman and man relationship. If your messiah is a man, he cannot be holy and so he cannot save anyone, not even himself, for all sinners shall be judged.
So therefore the wise seek Jesus Christ first, and redeem time (Ephesians 5:14–16, KJV) to invest their efforts in a lasting kingdom, for where a man’s treasure is there will his heart also be (Matthew 6:21, NIV).
We have understood that man is at the center of God’s plans. And truly speaking, man is also at the center of all modern philosophies, for what is modernity? It is not beautiful buildings, nor great industries, nor sin but it is a society where people and institutions [Justice, Marriage, etc.] respect man (Proverbs 14:34, NIV).
Respecting each other means understanding that everyone has the right in all morality to be different in opinions, philosophy, religion, etc. If everyone has the right to make a choice then everyone should be overcome by wisdom [conviction] rather than war [force], but to convince a man you need wisdom, for he that wins souls is wise.
Modernity brings peace to every society and institution. A nation is great because of its modernity and not because of its army. And since in one way or the other everyone is accountable to God, man should not forget to honor God in his daily life and not only as religion.
It seems that true Christianity is the only “religion” that is adapted to modernity because it is the present will of God. It is the modern form of Judaism. It is the fulfillment of the Law of Moses. It is the present will of God; that is why any other religion is not adapted to the modern society, but their laws and principles are barbarism. Laws where in man is mutilated because he has committed an offence, laws where in man renders justice for God, laws where in it is said, “An eye for an eye”, laws where in men worship trees, images, etc. Christianity is a life in man, and not a body of laws, and restrictions.
Christianity is in man’s spirit and not in a Church building, nor in a church name, nor in images, nor in food, nor on mountains, nor in a prophet, nor in a particular science, nor in heaven, nor on earth, nor under the waters, nor in the other worlds, nor in our parents, nor in the church congregation, nor in a tree, nor in a temple, nor in a building, nor in a shrine, nor in the sun, nor in the seasons, nor in days, nor with an angel, nor with a demon, nor in sacred oil, nor in a sacred handkerchief, nor in a sacred school, nor in education, nor in a book, nor in sacred books, nor in dresses, nor in a village, nor in a city, nor in a nation, nor in an organization. God is neither worshipped in Mount Horeb (1 King 19:8, NIV) nor in Jerusalem (Deuteronomy 12:1–14, 28, NIV) but in man (John 4:21–26, NIV). The fullness of God’s blessings dwells in the spirit of the man that abides in Him. I have learnt from the living words of Christ that no one should deceive me that Christianity is any where in the world; for Christianity (Kingdom of heaven) is within the man that accepts Him: And I believed Him.
Because I believed Him, I have also made Him my choice, my Christ and my God forever. Surprisingly, since then I have ceased from sin and I do not regret my decision. If as me you wish to make a bold step into eternity, start by repeating this prayer sincerely, for with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, but repentance is from the heart (Romans 10:9–10, NIV): Lord Jesus I am a sinner, I have sinned against You and man. Today, I plead guilty for all my sins: Lord God, have mercy and forgive me because of the Blood of Jesus that was poured at the Cross of Calvary for me. Wash me in the Blood of Jesus, and I shall be regenerated. Resurrect me through the Holy Ghost, and I shall receive the power to become a son of God. Write my name in your book of life, and I shall live. Thank You Lord. In the Name of Jesus, the living Christ, Amen.
If you have sincerely done this prayer, then you are born again and Christ, the Son of the Living God, lives in you. You have taken the most important decision that a man can make in this life (Luke 10:41–42, NIV). Now that you are a living being, you need to find a living church and continue worshiping with other Christians. Do not stop worshiping with other Christians (Acts 2:42, NIV) for as iron sharpens iron, so one Christian sharpens another, (Proverb 27:17, NIV; Hebrews 10:25, NIV).
Moreover as a new creature, the things written in this book concerns you, so read them attentively (Proverbs 4:20, NIV). And work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12–13, NIV) because small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to divine life (Matthew 7:14, NIV).
