Aus verschiedenen Projekten und nicht zuletzt dem Modellprojekt der Inneren Mission München gespeist, werden hier für alle wichtigen Erkenntnisse, Erfahrungen vorgestellt, wie in Heimen ein menschenwürdiges Lebensende ermöglicht werden kann. Es beginnt mit einer Idee, die zum Projekt wird. Das Projekt fördert die Aufnahme wichtiger Themen, das Anknüpfen an im Haus vorhandene Traditionen und es mündet in der Nachhaltigkeit und der Verbindung mit dem Stadtteil einer Kommune und ihren Nachbarschaften. Eines verblüfft: die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Sterben in einem Haus, die Thematisierung des Todes und Abschieds vitalisieren. Die Motivation, Kompetenz und Kreativität der Mitarbeitenden ermöglichen menschliches Leben bis zuletzt.
