Was erwarten Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft von den Ingenieuren und wie ist dem gegenüber die Erwartungshaltung der Ingenieure? In dieser Anthologie seiner Editorials und Leitartikel beleuchtet Wilfried Grunau die Perspektiven und Entwicklungschancen für den Berufsstand der Ingenieure, insbesondere aus Sicht der Geodäsie. Er bezieht dezidiert Position zu wichtigen berufspolitischen, wirtschaftlichen oder gesellschaftlichen Ereignissen, kommentiert diese und zeigt Visionen für den Berufsstand der Ingenieure und Geodäten auf.Das Buch soll und kann natürlich nicht DIE Antwort auf die Quo-vadis-Frage geben, wohl aber eine Orientierung. Und das jeweils mit der in einem Editorial gebotenen (relativen) Kürze, frei nach dem Motto "Quidquid praecipies, esto brevis" - Was auch immer du lehren wirst, fasse dich kurz! (Horaz, Ars poetica 335.)
