Use ТЫ when speaking with children, pets, family members, friends, or classmates your age/under the age of 30.
Use ВЫ when speaking with two or more people or with adults (unless they suggest that you use the more informal ТЫ). Don’t forget to use ВЫ with professors and strangers!
