Este volumen plantea la necesidad e importancia de centrarse en la traducción y re-presentación de voces minoritarias desde lo poscolonial, el género, la ecocrítica y la literatura infantil. Asimismo, toca otra alteridad y silenciamiento al contribuir para subsanar preocupaciones, invisibilidades y ausencias muy concretas dentro de los Estudios de Traducción dada la necesidad ineludible de atender la existencia de voces académicas críticas provenientes del denominado Sur Global y, sobre todo, con sede y práctica académica en él.Guillermo Badenes y Josefina Coisson son codirectores del equipo de investigación "La traducción de sexualidades en tensión en textos literarios feministas y LGBT+" con subsidio de la SeCyT UNC. En su labor como investigadores han acuñado el término "ecotraducción". Juntos han publicado libros de teoría de la traducción (como Traducción periodística y literaria, Comunicarte, 2007) y diversas antologías de prosa literaria como Voces del norte, Ícaro, 2009; y Qué onda Canadá, Comunicarte, 2011).
