Hegel und die klassische Antike è il titolo del seminario che Klaus Düsing tenne nel febbraio 1998 all'Istituto Italiano per gli Studi Filosofici. In cinque lezioni il grande studioso tedesco presenta, in modo chiaro e rigoroso, i temi principali dell'interpretazione hegeliana del pensiero antico: la dialettica del Parmenide e del Sofista di Platone, la filosofia prima e il concetto di nous noeseos (pensiero di pensiero) del Dio di Aristotele, dando particolare rilievo all'ontologia dei due pensatori greci. Nell'ultima lezione Düsing prende in esame la concezione hegeliana dell'arte classica, nella convinzione che tanto la filosofia greca classica quanto l'arte greca classica siano forme preparatorie o addirittura prime figure di autocoscienza e soggettività.
