Citing blogs

New forms of communication have become credible sources in academic settings and modern leaders, thinkers and academic often take to their computers to share their research, conclusions and thoughts through blogs.

Students are encouraged to leverage these new communication platforms to add depth to their own research and find novel and compelling data and arguments that have not yet been published in book form or as an article in an academic journal.

Similar to citing websites, students must collect the following information:

  1. The last name and initial of the blog post’s author
  2. The blog post’s title
  3. The blog name
  4. The blog post’s URL

We recommend you use the following structure to cite blog posts.
